Away from home, bluebonnets are notoriously picky and slow to perform.
By the way, officially, several lupine species are called “Texas Bluebonnet” and qualify as the Texas state flower; however, this is the most popular one.
For surefire lupine meadow color, choose one of the easier non-bluebonnet lupine species, such as L. succulentus.
